              As the Head of the Department of Electronics and communication Engineering, it gives me great pleasure to write this recommendation letter for Mr.XXXXXXXXXXX. I have known him for the past three years when he enrolled for his under graduate degree in XXXXX College of Engineering. I have been his course  mentor for the subjects ‘ Digital Design through verilog' and as such have known him well. During his course of study in this Institution, I had the Opportunity to observe and appreciate his academic caliber, as well as the versatility of his personality. 

              Mr XXXXXXX has distinguished him self as one of the best students in the class. He was active and diligent class participant and brings together an Engineer’s analytical approach, a keen grasp of basic facts coupled with mathematical knowledge, which he applies efficiently to problem solving. He has always exhibited fecundity of mind. He is an ardent learner and likes to go beyond the theoretical purview, to practical     applications of his subjects and his perseverance enabled him to achieve his goals in the laboratory sessions and industrial visits.

           He has involved himself in numerous organizations both in the campus and outside. As a believer in social justice he has been actively engaged in community activities. He has shown tremendous energy and boundless enthusiasm to participate, plan and organize various intra and inter –collegiate events. He always strived to be the leader and set an example to his peers. He takes up the responsibility of leading a team very well and completes work well within the stipulated time. 

              In a nutshell, Mr XXXXXX is a multifaceted person with a zeal for academic, cultural and extra-curricular activities.
